Free resources to help students going to university

15 August 2022

Students preparing to start university this year or return to campus in September can access a range of free resources from the Open University curated by the Russell Group.

Jumpstart University was set up last year to help students prepare for and settle into their studies at university. It has had thousands of visitors since it was launched

The hub provides a range of online materials from OpenLearn, the Open University’s free learning platform.

It includes courses to help with study skills, wellbeing and mental health, and student life, as well as subject-specific courses. Users can search by topic or subject area to get access to the resources they need.

Jumpstart University is open to all students – whichever university or college they’re enrolling at – as well as those supporting them such as parents, teachers, carers, or advisers.
