Hamir oversees all of the Russell Group's communications activity including media, public affairs, brand and digital.
As well working to communicate the Russell Group’s policy work to decision makers and enhance its brand, Hamir provides high-level strategic support to the senior leadership team and member universities on political and media issues.
Hamir joined the Russell Group in 2019 and has over a decade of experience devising and delivering communications strategies for a wide range of education and public policy organisations. Since 2023 he has been a board trustee at TASO, which aims to close equality gaps in higher education by driving the use of evidence-informed practice.
