Vice-Chancellor, University of Nottingham

Professor Jane Norman became President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nottingham in January 2025.
Prior to joining Nottingham as Deputy Vice-Chancellor in 2022, Professor Norman was Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Bristol, and before that Vice-Principal for People and Culture at the University of Edinburgh.
A former clinical academic and Professor of Maternal and Fetal Health, Professor Norman’s award-winning research has made pregnancy and labour safer for women and babies. She is a non-executive director at UK Research and Innovation and a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
