University of Warwick

Warwick faculty of arts

The University of Warwick, founded in 1965, is the youngest of the original Russell Group members and has quickly earned its place among the world’s leading universities.

With over 28,000 students from 147 countries, Warwick is ranked 8th in the UK (The Guardian) and 69th globally (QS).

Known for its innovative and impactful research that tackles the most complex global challenges, 92% of Warwick’s research is rated as ‘world leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’ (Research Excellence Framework). Teaching at Warwick is equally distinguished – it was the first Russell Group named "University of the Year for Teaching Quality 2022" (by The Times and The Sunday Times), achieving Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023. Its courses integrate interdisciplinary research and real-world applications, preparing graduates for lasting success in a fast-changing world.

Its strong links to industry partners and collaborations with organisations such as the Alan Turing Institute, Jaguar Land Rover, and Tata Motors act as catalysts for new research networks.

World-changing breakthroughs include the first testosterone patch for menopause, new early-detection methods for Alzheimer’s, more sustainable long-term space travel solutions that will help humans travel to Mars and beyond, and ground-breaking advancements in autonomous vehicles and agricultural robotics.

Looking to the future, Warwick pledged a transformative £700m investment in its campus in 2024 to support bold, world-leading, and collaborative education and research. Supported by a young and dynamic University that is full of ambition and possibility, Warwick students, alumni, and staff strive together to shape a brighter future – for 60 years and beyond.
