Investigating cloud microphysics
Climate scientists at University of Bristol have found that cloud microphysics play as important a part in melting ice caps as greenhouse gases.
Building on recent research that found the Greenland ice sheet could be gone within the next 1,000 years, the scientists found that the clouds act like a blanket and the thicker the cloud, the more longwave warming at the surface.
