King’s has more than 17,600 undergraduate and 11,000 postgraduate students, 29% of whom come from overseas.
Research at King’s is challenging and ground-breaking, leading to new thinking and perspectives. In the most recent assessment of research quality in UK universities 40% of its research was rated world-leading and a further 45% rated internationally excellent.
King’s Health Partners, the university’s partnership with three NHS Foundation Trusts, brings together world-class research, education and clinical practice for the benefit of patients and the communities of south London.
It is a founding member of the federal University of London but has conferred degrees in its own right since 2008. The university is based across five campuses in the heart of London, and like its host city, the academic community at King’s is diverse, with 41% of faculty from outside of the UK.
