Levelling up the East of England

The East of England is home to the University of Cambridge. Between 2014 and 2020, more than 9,500 new jobs were created by spinouts linked to Cambridge University. Those 836 active companies had a combined turnover of £1.7bn and brought £414m of investment to the region.
In addition to the high value jobs created by their business spin-out activities, Cambridge University currently employs over 12,300 staff, an increase of 15% over the last 5 years.
