The Russell Group report Realising Our Potential: Backing Talent and Strengthening UK Reseach Culture and Environment discusses challenges and highlights examples of good practice across three key themes: supporting research careers, the experience of working in research and inclusive and respectful environments.

It draws on conversations and interviews with more than 90 people across the UK research ecosystem, including senior research managers, publishers, funders, and early career researchers. The insights they provided have allowed us to develop a Research Culture and Environment Toolkit, which we hope will be used to share practical ideas and mutual learning across the research system to drive positive change and make the UK the best place in the world to do research.

All the materials including the report, toolkit and case study examples are available here.
