Response to Universities Minister's speech

Responding to the Minister for Universities keynote speech at UUK’s annual Conference, Russell Group Chief Executive Dr Tim Bradshaw said:
“The Minister positioned himself as a challenging champion of UK universities. Many in the sector will welcome the emphasis on our contribution to the nation’s influence and prosperity, and we appreciate the candid account of the challenges facing higher education.
“The speech pointed to partnership and we look forward to working with Government on a range of issues, not least boosting the UK’s knowledge economy through training its workforce and driving cutting-edge research.”
