Next phase of Teaching Excellence Framework

Commenting on the changes that will be introduced for the next phase of the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) announced this week by Universities Minister Jo Johnson, Acting Director of the Russell Group Dr Tim Bradshaw said:

“We welcome the fact there will be more emphasis on absolute quality to determine outcomes rather than just on the progress made by individual institutions against their own individual targets. This is something the Russell Group has been calling for and it should mean students will be better informed about their options.  

“We look forward to working closely with the Government on the forthcoming  independent review of the TEF. We hope this will help to develop a framework that is truly reflective of the UK’s excellent higher education sector.”
